  • George M. Beck's Ancestors  new
WARREN WILLIAM BECK, born circa 1826 or 1827 in North Carolina (according to Federal Census) and died in Geneva, Alabama where he is also buried in the city cemetary. His name is predominately Warren William Beck, but has been written William W. Beck on occasion. Typically, went by "W.W. Beck". Only "W. W. Beck, died May 26, 1877" appears on his tombstone. He married Martha McDougald (1822-1892) on Dec. 6, 1857 in Coffee Co., Alabama. He may be (though unsure) the same Warren Beck who divorced Lucinda Beck earlier in November, 1855 in Coffee County. He is listed in both the 1860 (Coffee Co., Al.) and 1870 (Geneva Co., Al.) Federal Census in Geneva, Alabama. He had two sons by Martha McDougald: John W. Beck (1859-1892) who died in Tuscaloosa, Al. and George Warren Beck (1862-1944) who lived in Geneva, Alabama all his life and is buried there.
